The time has arrived for what Taylor Swift promised fans at the Grammys in February: her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

When “The Tortured Poets Department” hits stores today, it will be available in multiple formats, including vinyl, a suitable purchase if you wish to celebrate Record Store Day tomorrow. Tylor Hammers, a fan and collector, told Ben Sisario, “Vinyl collecting fits so well into Taylor’s fandom.”

“She taught me a heightened, technically precise level of work, without a lot of negative space and every inch filled with geometric patterning,” the artist Melissa Cody says of her mother, who showed her how to weave. “Melissa Cody: Webbed Skies,” her first major solo show, is on view at MoMA PS1 through Sept. 9.

Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” which stars Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson as daredevil agents on a secret mission to disrupt Nazi supply lines, “is a perfect airplane movie,” Alissa Wilkinson writes, which is meant as neither a compliment nor a dig. The film is in theaters today.

Though the Broadway production of “Suffs” improves upon its Public Theater debut in 2022 — “beneficially recast and heavily rewritten” — its scenes can “come off as educational skits,” Jesse Green writes. The musical, which traces the fight for women’s suffrage in the early 20th century, is at the Music Box Theater.
