Uber has partnered with the Indian Air Force to provide mobility solutions for official travel and the daily commute of Air Force officers, veterans, and their families across India. Announced on October 17, 2024, in New Delhi, this collaboration aims to enhance transportation services by integrating Uber for Business, thereby ensuring reliable, convenient, and safe travel options for Air Force personnel and their families.

The partnership was formalised during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony overseen by Air Marshal RK Anand, AOA, alongside other senior officers. The MoU was signed by AVM Updesh Sharma, ACAS (Accts & AV), and Abhinav Mittoo, Senior Country General Manager, Uber for Business, Uber India & South Asia. Several senior officials from both the Indian Air Force and Uber attended the event.

To deliver cost-effective and customised travel perks

The Indian Air Force will utilise Uber for Business, a platform designed to offer customised travel benefits and a seamless commuting experience. This partnership will streamline travel processes and digitise the rider journey, providing a tech-enabled solution aimed at delivering cost efficiencies on an enterprise level suitable for the unique requirements of the Indian Air Force.

In a statement, the Indian Air Force noted the significance of this partnership, “The collaboration with Uber represents an important step in the journey towards enhanced mobility solutions for Air Force personnel and families.”
